On Saturday, September 30, 2017, Sea Island Habitat for Humanity will host its second annual House That Beet Built. Last year, more than 100 beer drinkers came together to enjoy live music, good food, and some specially-prepared Habitat Beers. Join us at the best outdoor venue on James Island for a fundraiser to help build Heritage Oaks, an 18-home neighborhood nearby on Ferguson Road.

Six local breweries will showcase unique Habitat Brews. Check out your favorite breweries on the left. Admission is free and 100% of the proceeds will go towards building a Habitat home.

Jump Castle Riot will keep you grooving

Jump Castle Riot (jumpcastleriot.com) is a local blues/rock band that has been described as having effortless chemistry and an explosive sound. “These kids have serious talent,” says Atlas Road Crew drummer Patrick Drohan. Jay’s mom put it another way: “Jump Castle Riot plays really loud” and the Charleston City Paper talks about putting out thier first CD in an 7/12 article.

Band members are Nina Murchison (vocals), Jay Van Raalte (guitar/vocals), John Palles (drums), and Richard Hartnett (bass). Only 2 years old, Jump Castle Riot venues have included Awendaw Green, the Pour House, Palmettos's Loading Dock Series, and on September 27, 2017, they will headline at the Windjammer.

Family fun all day

Bring the whole clan. A silent auction, cornhole, and plenty of room to run will entertain you and the kiddos while you enjoy your favorite Habitat Brew.

Bohemian Bull has a great menu for munchies or a meal, as well as other alcoholic and non-alcoholic libations.
