Women Build 2019

Thank you! This year's Women's Build brought  over 260 volunteers to the build site and raised over $50,000 towards materials for the home. Even better, we had fun. Our new owner, Melissa (right), provided lunch for us on Friday and looks forward to moving in soon with her son.

Many of our volunteers attended with enthusiastic groups from Coastal Pediatrics, Dolphin/Gambel, Dominion Energy, Herlong Architects, Hibben UMC, Hometeam Barbeque, JILCO, Kiawah, LaFond Law, Low Tide Brewery, Mary Joseph State Farm Insurance, Nexsen Pruet, Palmetto Interiors, Ravenel Associates, Seabrook, and Seamon Whiteside. Others brought friends and family. All shifts were full before the build started!

Here are a few ways you can continue to help:

1. Volunteer at the site. Go to our volunteer signup or contact our volunteer coordinator Liv, liv@seaislandhabitat.org or (843) 442.3827.

2. Support our ReStore, which raises money to purchase materials for 6 complete homes a year.

Be a customer.

Donate merchandise for the store. Drop off items during store hours or schedule a pickup.

Use our free deconstruction services when you remodel. This saves you money, avoids putting useful items in a landfill, and gives you a tax deduction.

3. Thank our Women Build supporters and tell them we sent you.
